Only one other in my class at Prescott, a full-on Ford Puma rallycross car which is ballistic..

Still, my car looks nicer than his !

The rear prop is of course the garage broom. With the car on all fours, the clam sits well over center and gives huge access. Hope there is no wind.

The alum foil is to stop heat getting to the thin fibreglass.
I used duct tape 4'' wide. Tricky to put on and sure sticks...

Sprint is at Nutts Corner, 3rd roundof NI Champioship.

Just had a scare, took carfor fuel, came back home to hear a rattle in the engine, but think it was just a tappet which is now reset.

Saw some DDK people there today.

Hoping to get the PMO's next week and will cancell Shelsley so to have the time to tweek the car some more.

This gives me time to get the PMO's rolling roaded and ready for Loton.

I learnt a lot this weekend, but felt very 'with' the car today. I am sure it will be bloody fast when i've realy got in tune with it.

There were a lot of posatives and few negs to take away, and for those following this saga here, full report when the You Tube bits are available.

Not fast but went up the hill 5 times and came down 5 times too with everything working.

Real tyres going on this tuesday, PMO's i hope soon, and I can start to lean on this little car.

We had our own Porsche battle at Wiscombe with Peter Turnbull in his GT3 RS engined machine, Chris and Ross Stone in a very nice 74RS replica, and Mr Bun and one of the "Slices" in their Orange Dog 73RS replica. The "White car" hasn't made an appearance yet, I think they're enjoying throwing the Orange Dog around too much!

Getting the PMO's tomorrow evening, Martyn is going over to deepest Wales to get them.
They are jetted for a 3.2 so i hope they are close enough to run and then i can take the Lola.

Contingency plan is to take the Bitza 911 if all else fails.

The new A15 compound Avons are on the rims, the new fuel tank breather on order (the tank beather pipe had been blanked-off in the distant past (why?) and so the fuel pump should deliver it's best.

The car looks very sorry for itself all stripped down again, but i hope it is progress.

Sorry Graham, I'm not at Shelsley. I decided to go to Werrington Park for the week-end since -
a/ I haven't been for a couple of years (and gone to Shelsley instead)
and
b/ It's 25 years exactly since TVK ran first in hillclimb trim, at Werrington Park

Hope all goes well for you. A set of fresh Avons should totally transform the Lola - hope the clutch can take it off the start...........

A friend collected the PMO's today, and after a bit of a fight they are finally on the engine. The bespoke alternator and flat fan makes things a bit difficult. Finished all the loose ends late tonight, too late to try to run the engine.

That will be the fun for tomorrow evening..

All back together now. Need to be sure the carbs are fully open when the pedal is to the metal!

Previous owner of the carbs had them jetted for a 3.0L taken out to 3.2 so i hope they are reasonably close enough to run cleanly.
