Where do you get the energy for this dedication, Mike
I take my hat off for that. But hunting for parts and spending time sniffing out those ubiquous parts whilst discussing with the older Porschista's is more than half the fun
Incidentally, do you have an idea of how many man hours this work encompasses, inclusive of the work that Gib already put in?
Best regards,
Bert

Hi Bert, I've given up thinking about the number of hours spent on the car so far, it's not just the actual time spent working on it, it's the time spent looking for parts, trawling the net and then the driving around the country picking up things, pestering people to make bits and sourcing materials etc.

Why would Bert need his photograph taking?

Mike:
I know the kind of hours it takes to chase parts, strip undercoat, research tiny details of how the factory did things. But to execute all these details to the degree you are doing it puts your project in a class by itself. I admire your tenacity and attention to so many details, and am looking forward to following your progress on this "work of art". I put a lot of time into this car, but you are taking it to a whole new level. Can't wait to see it in the flesh again one day.

Nice work Mike - are they the Elephant Racing parts?
Just one question though, how do you service them in terms of adding further grease (or whatever it is that's needed) - it looks as though you have the nipples pointing towards the front of the car and therefore slightly inaccessible?

hi Ian, yes elephant racing. The nipples are facing forward slightly angled apart from each other and no problem to get to with the grease gun from underneath. Done it that way so that you don't see them.

Neat solution and another example of the attention to detail

I like the look of those
More "engineered" than usual bush kits.
I think I might do the same.
