Any ideas on what this dial is?.jpeg
I'm guessing a large oil pressure warning light...

Interesting that the ad doesn't say anything about who built the car, did the engine, interior etc.

Yes but I was wondering what had happened to it in the intervening 13 yrs or so.

I realise that I incorrectly referred to it as 'Martin's '66 911S' but back when he owned it that's how it was usually described - I seem to remember it was amongst the first few hundred built in Aug '66 ...

.
I’m sure Jason sold it across the pond…..

Mike

Not to be outdone in the Boxing Day sales, Broad Arrow are offering 718024 at a million dollar discount to the Pebble Beach '22 no-sale estimate

Campaigned at Le Mans '59 by privateer Ed Hugus, 718024 had the pace, rising to 4th overall during the race. In a role reversal all 6 Porsches DNF'd, 718024 with a 20th hour broken crank, leaving Lotus to take 1.5 class honours

Yes Martins old car that I bought, had for a while and then sold through Coys and it ended up in America. It went to a restorers who ripped out all the interior and did it all in black…which was still not original factory delivery…then sold it on again.

No idea where it is now. I still have some pics of the original restoration but I doubt the new owner will want to see them unless they like shocks

…and yes Wayne this was me…

This looks like it might be good value - even though it contains one of 'those' words in its description ...

Look! A genuine 2.7 Carrera! Same engine as the RS!

Good to hear it had head gasket work in 2016. Always one to watch for on these.

I can’t be bothered to look at all the pictures but what’s the bet that their claim of ‘no visible rust’ is just as accurate?

"Fresh underseal" Mmmm...
But look at the rust on the oil filter! Since when did an oil filter go rusty?
No cover on the electrics..

That poor car. Don't think I want to see what's under that underseal... And that has to be the worst upholstery job I've seen in years.
