Do you reckon they had armed guards out overnight There is a couple of million pounds worth of motors just in the front row alone!

Somehow, just like at SPA last weekend, none of that seems to be required there.
The Mille Miglia was just the same feeling, the bandits were somewhere else, only good guys in the vicinity....

Strikes me these old time events are void of toe rags.

Not a police man anywhere, dead easy to pop off with a choice bit of machinery into an enclosed trailer and off home.

Always a shame to see lovely machines (albeit non-original) unnecessarily damaged. I always hold my breath at the start of the Richmond and Gordon; there have been some nasty shunts in the past and this year was no different.

We all do, I had a discussion with a classic racer and his comment was " everything can be repaired " and its best
to use as intended, I hear many racers have a race replica built because of the value of the original .
