Re: Stainless cup holder
Hi Tom,Tp81 wrote:Ralph,Ralph wrote:I've been reading this thread over the last month or so and have been wondering what all the fuss about a cup holder is about?
Today I went out in the 911 and called in at McDonald's. Jumped back into the car to be told "you've got no bloody cup holders in this car". Yes - nowhere to put my coffee.
So - If you have one can I have a black anodised cup holder please?
Ralph.
Delighted to be able to assist. One question, if you place a ruler on the seat rails of your car does this extend past and clear the side of the central tunnel? SWB cars and in some other cars I have supplied the central tunnel extends past the line of the seat rail frame, this then means the hole for the cup to fit into is partly obscured. If you can check this for me I can then send the correct one.
Thanks again
Tom
I have just checked and there looks to be clearance on the tunnel. If I could have a black anodised version please. I have just sent payment but forgot to add the notes so I'll PM you my delivery address.
Many thanks,
Ralph.

Re: Stainless cup holder
These are lovely pieces of kit. I'm not much of a coffee drinker or I'd have one.
I do like the keep my phone in a cradle though...usually stuck to the windscreen so it sits down low to the right of the steering wheel (rhd car). Ugly setup however and tends to fall off when it gets sunny.
I recall not that long ago that someone had come up with a design in the US that fitted behind the clock seal. Would you consider making these? If so I could look up that design but it won't be a million miles different from these cup holders. Would need to be thinner and probably need a bend or two in it.
Doable?
Al.

Black anodised cup holders now available for early cars. The stepped design now misses the central tunnel.

Postimage test from my cheap, rose gold, local pay-as-you-go.
Pagoda in storage in UK but these look lovely enough without a car around them...
They're not scratches in the perfect polishing, just wood grain reflections from my mid-century prosthesis collection.
