What a fabulous looking shell - I would love to have something like that on my garage to just stare at!

Looks to be a very nice way to spend the Spring time adding to that!

Of course they do!........just couldn't see the rivet detail from the angle of those photos.

Thanks all, i am very happy although i have not seen the shell in the flesh yet.

Darren, you are correct about the aluminium skins. The rivets are very subtle as i didn't like seeing them through the door gap.

Mark, the one thing i have learnt during this journey it to try not to set to high an expectation on time. Most people in this business rarely deliver on time. Engine build is underway now so i hope to drive it late summer. i seem to remember saying that this time last year.

Thanks John, dreams have started. i'm itching to drive this car but there is still plenty to do.

Finally managed to get some time to visit the shell yesterday. I am very happy with the colour and the progress. One of the last jobs before the final coats of paint was to help trial fit the GHE dog bone straps to the front bonnet and the rear engine lid. This is not the type of job i fancy doing once it is in final paint..!
I resisted the temptation to install the front one's upside down like the original Gaban car...!

It was also nice to see the contrast in colour now that the bumpers were painted Black and fitted to the shell. The final picture shows the rough line where the Black is yet to be painted to the sill area.

On the home straight now, and hope to collect the finished shell in the next few weeks.

The photographs of your shell are considerably enhanced by that really lovely 1970 Pastel Blue 911 in the back ground. Do you know the owner as he obviously has real taste?
