A small convoy would be just grand Philip, just grand. Brendan and I were just hitching up together for the drive down(and back) from Scotland...makes sense. We haven't finalised anything booking wise yet but will keep you informed. Very kind of you to offer a stop over on the way down (or back?). Will speak to Brendan soon.

The Caen and Calais routes cross at a place call ‘Sees’. It takes about 1 ½ hours to get there from Caen and 3 ½ from Calais.

The Caen ferry arrives at 07:15 so we would be there at around say 9am. If we wanted to meet up there your Tunnel crossing needs to hit Calais at around 5:30am

There is a big Cathedral at Sees and you can see it from miles off if I remember rightly, so we could meet at the Cathedral no probs . . . spot of breakfast them do the remaining 50 miles down to Le Mans as one big group.

Just a thought, but probably not a goer considering how early the Calais contingent would need to get there.

Am I correct in saying we've got 5 fully paid up Portsmouth-Caen ferry goer's at present:

What does anyone feel about non-Porsche's in the convoys? Sacralige, or alright as long as the guys are up for a bit of ribbing about unreliable motors? (my mate would like to come along with his Chimera, assuming it doesn't break down on the way to Dover...)

Tim, are you in your Porsche? I'm sure a TVR can come along, although he might hold us back as I was under the impression their top speed was limited by the AA van following behind
