Yes, thats the Mexborough IROC car - flames from the exhaust once caught my jeans as I squirted the trumpets with Easy-Start !

Tim that BODYWORK,was done by Kevin o'Rourke Mototechnique at least 10 years ago and i dont think paints been touched since says a lot ,when i sold it abt 30 000 miler from knew hard life , Swiss GT CHAMPION TWICE , Even the shades of gold correct ie wheels and stripe slightly different .......
Hmm now abt that IROC CAR ............................MUST FIND THE AD , IS HE QUOTING PRICE ?

its a very unusual car might make it in this heady market, but thats real high asking !
Spydermon if u want something almost unique, go see it , i seem to remember u mentioned green worked for u ? Its a real gem , i am not aware where most of the 15 cars are ...............for SpM 2.8 twin plug heads , very light , 917 brakes almost a 2.8 rsr ............more kleenex needed! Probably cross between straight [ excuse the language] 2.8 rsrs and one of these as greatest Pork to drive ......................never driven an ST OR TH ..............

Hi Vic,
Correct the gold script was for the 3.0L RS cars. It was added to my car by the second owner in the mid 70's. I have been fortunate enough to have gathered many photos from previous owners.
Some here have seen these so I appologise for the repetition. Here is the car as delivered with no side script at all.
The original owner soon after took off the ducktail and put on the later Carrera tail along with 7 and 8" Fuchs.
Here is the gold script added by the second Suisse owner soon after he bought the car.
This car has been all over the place. It was delivered in CH, changed hands there once then sold to NZ but in the meantime the new owners traveled all over Europe and the UK with the car before shipping it to NZ. I was told this is a shot of the car at the Bull Inn in Iver in 1981. Anyone know if this place is still there?

It is interesting with the 3.0L RS cars here in the states. There were relatively unloved for quite a long time while the '73 Carreras climbed in value very quickly. Just a couple of years ago a friend and I discussed buying one that was for sale here. Unfortunately we ended up not doing the deal which I regret to this day.
That Lime Green IROC car is fantastic for sure.

Vic, I haven't got any books yet, or time to read them! Any spare moment that I have away from workly or fatherly duties is spent on here, and I still miss a lot of the threads! Can't believe I missed Mike's!

The Bull is still there , not a big fan but was the kinda home of Autofarm, and another in Datchett Peter Tognola ............all around Heathrow Airport! Seems he went for 3 0 littre tail as well ! Not sure abt the Ansa exhaust...........think the track shots cud just be Hockenhiem , was used for Swiss GT champ in those times and of course no tracks in Switerzerland post Lemans '55 Tragedy .Those wheels and the rest of the detail are what impress immediately abt that car , please dont appologise for piccies in period ,great stuff................i owned a 2.7 rs touring, rhd , Blutorange ,around 1978 .............sold ,went to Hong Kong Chinese gentleman ....................shipped home and immediately painted white!!!!!

I do like the green, it's spectacular! T+S will say it looks like a Hot Wheels car. I might go and see it, not far from me really. Trouble is in doing that, is if you're smitten, you're done for.......
I not reading any more specs I'm feeling a tumescence....

Can that be cured ................black 3.0 rs docile well behaved on road...anywhere , the green one depends but bit hot and hairy , needs warming up ,may even have titanium rods etc possibly needs respect and patience possibly 300 bhp ish in less than !000kgs .....................actual spec not known to me of this particular car ...............read the children quality bed time stories from Mr Starkeys book , BTW was Billy Conno;;ey s manager so made need censorship !
