Are we still meeting @ Biggar / Volksfling on friday afternoon? ( I notice gates don't open until 2pm )
If we are, do we have to pay to get in ?
Is there an alternative meet for those that might not want to go to Volksfling?
What is the earliest time can we arrive at teh Lock Tay accomodation on Friday?

What, it's gone wrong already ??
BTW, Thanks for the kind comments above, chaps, I did rather assume that Paul and I would be having a 'break' by then

The guys a Volkfling are roping an area of the field off for us so you can arrive earlier and we will not get charged to get in. We have not got an alternative met-up point as Biggar is just about right!
Not sure what the earliest time for Loch Tay, I would think about 3pm but I will check.

Its a stones throw from Mike Bainbridge's place, who will be with us in Scotland, and he has invited us to his workshop, Monday afternoon/Tues morning for any last minute fettling before the run south.
The hotel is the Netherwood, in Grange over Sands, and as you can see from the website its a bit special
http://www.netherwood-hotel.co.uk/
It is normally very expensive, but they have kindly offered a deal on two sharing a twin or double room at £65 per person for DINNER, bed and breakfast. All we do is pay the booze
Those wanting a single on their own its £95 Dinner, bed and breakfast. That includes use of all the facilities like pool, spa, gym and so on.
Not holding any rooms at the moment, just need to gauge the response over the next 48 hours of anyone interested.
what a great idea, wish it had been mentiond before.. we have arrangd to visit my daughter in Auchterader monday so don't think we are going to be able to change that.
we could make it down to mikes on the way home on tuesday am ?

still on as far as I know, a few of us are staying at his local pub on the Thursday night.

drive is still on. When Phil gets back into the UK I'll confirm times etc, but I imagine the plan will be to leave his around 10am.
My thoughts were to head North into the Dales and run across via Hawes & Ribblehead, toilet stop in Ingleton, then upto the Motorway.
Should take 4 hours or so to Biggar.
Direct route would be up the A1 - A66 etc would be a fair bit quicker but all duel carrageway
Actually now I've read what I have writen, there is no way I'll get to Loch Tay by mid afternoon

There is a planned route from Biggar to Loch Tay. Anyone not wanting to join in that drive will need to let Brendan or me know. ie anyone making there own way to Loch Tay.
Don't panic. Details arriving on this board soon.

Mike
