Yes, and inside, no guards, the tyres were barely off the ground and she was doing about 50 mph.
Not good.
Someone else was doing the same outside.

All to do with pre-selector gearboxes I think?

Oh my word - what a drive that must have been! The (E36?) coupe has always been a great looking car - looks like you've had some fun with that one! Superb! Please tell me it's really boring and handles like a donkey. Please....

Is this the same Mini as was alongside your photo of the 928 on the "Porsche pic of the day" thread? Looks v similar and number plate (from what I can tell) looks close? Just wondered what the connection was (if any?). Great looking Mini - reminds me of mine (except mine was my first ever car and a complete rot box - still loved it though!) :)
Yes its the same one, its the wifes. I was hoping she would take to the 914 but only a mini would do.
The guard dog is also hers and only lets me near the mini to fix it !
Its a great little car and everyone loves it, at the show last week nobody was interested in a 928 but the mini was a hit.
P.S I know the plates are illegal but they do look good :)
Lovely looking car Keith - there is something so perfectly "right" about a good Mini. I love the plates too - they look "right" :)

Yeah its a complete dog  It is an e36, and its great fun. 328i with a few choice mods and some weight loss. There's more to do but its a long term project so I'm in no rush, and having fun as I go.

I drove to llanberis for a stag do yesterday, then woke up (in a tent; most unusual for me) at 6:00 this morning and decided to sneak off for a drive before the rest of the guys woke up. Ended up being superb; just got lost around snowdons deserted roads for an hour or so, then at 8am when other road users started to appear, put the sat nav on and trundled back to the campsite.. Kind of wished I'd got up an hour earlier

Unfortunately the drive home this evening wasn't so great; 200 miles of torrential rain on toyo r888's is no fun!

!965 Beetle I built back in 1996/7 – 3.5-inch roof chop, glassfibre panels, 2074cc VW engine with dual 48IDA Webers etc etc. Built in the style of 1960s/70s VW 'gassers'. :)
