Thanks - I'm helping the lads tomorrow morning to get the panel gaps as good as poss and should have every panel fitted by then and what I've seen already I'm very impressed with, more about the lads who prepared and painted the car later. The car does look fab, but the pictures really don't do it justice, so pleased it's not silver. You'll be pleased to know that the car will be used in some selected hillclimbs here in NI, maybe not this year but defo next. BTW way if I had £1 for ever Beetle/Herbie remark made in the paintshop, or from my lads in my business I could by one - not a bad idea?

Robin your car looks superb, given the value of 67S the majority would have chosen the originality path...refreshing that you stuck to what you wanted. Credit to you and the shop doing the work.

I too give you major kudos, the paint job is incredible and beautifully rendered. The car was would get major attention if shown at "stateside" events like Daytona historics, Rennsport Reunion etc. Not that air-freighting cars back and forth across the Atlantic is something most of us can afford, just a nice thought. Happy with how the front end looks. I wasn't sure if the red and blue stripes would look good on the front bumper and pleased that I left them off as the bumper looks cleaner without them. The Brumos 911's, of which this is a tribute didn't extend their stripes to the bumper either.

“Threespoke” (a ddk guy - can’t remebrr which) posted a pic of a 997 or 991 I think on instagram this morning ina. Similar colour scheme!
