Consider it as a pension plan where YOU take responsibity for your investment rather than so called pension fund "experts". Some of these guys take an annual chunk of your savings, pretend they are clever and when they lose your money immediately blame " World market conditions "
If you have any fund left the government reverses its promise never to tax pension funds and taxes yours explaining that "sometimes financial decisions must be made for the greater good of society" . Faceless pen pushers nick your savings whilst they line there own pockets!
If you keep your toy you can usually sell it and any profits should be TAX FREE ( unless your a dealer ). If you lose money you've experienced the pleasure and fun as well as the kudos of ownership.
Its not a toy its your pension.

You are absolutely right, and I will totally concur with your views on taxation, though I will refrain to comment. Not because I don't want to, no, simply because I will fume and fulminate, and then implode, achieve singularity and become a black hole into another universe!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic pics of your beautiful RS! I've never seen (or noticed?) gold script before, but it really suits the colour, just great! I'm really grateful that you posted them.....but I need more details.....!

Anybody else that wants to add their RS to this thread please do, I really love seeing them in the flesh as it were!

As to which one I will choose; well I'm not short of choice. Buuuuttt, there is one that I am going to see soon that I have promised not to post details of beforehand....I know, I know, sounds like I'm being coy, but I'm not, and I'm respecting the wishes of the owner on this one. As soon as I can post though I will, I promise.

Gold script more usually associated with 3 0 rs , infact on all 3 0 rs ! What a lovely car again details like bonnet badge and engine in general spot on..............does happen to be my favourite colour!

I didn't know that, and wouldn't have made that association. Don't think I've seen a 3.0RS, were they later IB cars?

It is a lovely colour, and the gold works well, wonder why Porsche didn't use it with the 2.7RS?

I didn't know that, and wouldn't have made that association. Don't think I've seen a 3.0RS, were they later IB cars?

It is a lovely colour, and the gold works well, wonder why Porsche didn't use it with the 2.7RS?

Having driven both, in my humble and quite possibly controversial opinion, the 3.0 RS is a better all-round car than the 2.7.

Young Mr Moss has more piccies of mine than i have ........sure he cud oblige ................in a nutshell, 3 0 rs 1974 /5 abt 115 of which 49 were rs and 49 werer rsr , the IMsa cars or some weird derivatives make up highly disputed total, u shud have Starkey book by now Spydermon , not 100% ,but reasonably accurate rs chassis number and even record of owners where known........917 brakes ,semipro kinda race car , rs road legal , rsr, well it cud be, but wider body /wheels and twin plug engine....turn key racer won everything in its day ..............rs today £250 ish rsr depends on where it raced anything .................been dealt around £400k

to compare 2.7 and 3 0 rs ,like for like, say both lightweight ....2.7 light like on tip toe ,3 0 much more neutral suspension ,more planted both IMO the finest porsche driving experience ..................biggest mistake of my life selling it , second biggest mistake not paying up last year and missing buying it back !
