Gary

Juliet is safe. The routes are going to be a secret until the day. Bring a map with you Gary and you can pour over them while she is driving!!
Will leave you plenty of time to take those moving photos from the passenger seat too.

I hope the weather is going to be good. Fingers crossed.

Regards
Mike

Just to confirm publicly that I can't make it either now - in Dublin all of that week :( very disappointed - I'm sure the Scottish trip will be awesome!

Nice :)

Which OS maps will cover the route?

(I'll use any excuse to buy OS maps!)

Hopefully my new camera with 18-135 zoom will keep Juliet entertained in the passenger seat like on the Northern run, except this time I need to work out how to convince the autofocus to work through my heated windscreen :)

And the sat nav boys might like to pre-prepare an itinerary of the route just in case the dentist in a black RS rep takes a wrong turn

ACCOMODATION LAKE DISTRICT MONDAY. Here's an idea for those looking to break the journey south on Monday. We have been offered a fantastic deal at an incredible hotel near Kendal in the Lake District.
Its a stones throw from Mike Bainbridge's place, who will be with us in Scotland, and he has invited us to his workshop, Monday afternoon/Tues morning for any last minute fettling before the run south.

The hotel is the Netherwood, in Grange over Sands, and as you can see from the website its a bit special

http://www.netherwood-hotel.co.uk/

It is normally very expensive, but they have kindly offered a deal on two sharing a twin or double room at £65 per person for DINNER, bed and breakfast. All we do is pay the booze :drunken:
Those wanting a single on their own its £95 Dinner, bed and breakfast. That includes use of all the facilities like pool, spa, gym and so on.
Not holding any rooms at the moment, just need to gauge the response over the next 48 hours of anyone interested.

Yeah, I'd be up for a night there.
I guess Barry will have to be too (as he's passenger with me).
Alright with that Barry?
I doubt they'll let you camp in the grounds.
