Yes, read that from your last post. , but...

Look at the other makers using the same method or principle; must be some value in fitting them.

For early Porsche? nothing on the internet which I find odd, no pics, no sales, nothing when callipers are stripped down etc.

Looking at the picture of your shim & comparing it to the Triumph ones I posted, I would say that yours was a 'home-made' shim trimmed down (with elongated holes) from the Triumph version:

- maybe why you haven't beem able to find any reference to these being fitted to 911's ...

Could well be the case Andy.

The ones i have are very well made if DIY, cutting this thickness is tricky.

Have ordered some 0.5mm thick shim sheet.

Frentech Brakes have nothing listed.
