Arrived in Honfleur. Also delayed by 60 mins on the Eurotunnel. Car ran very nicely. I had forgotten how pretty Northern France is. Just for Hill Climber we are averaging about 26mpg cruising at 75/80 mph. We are going to have a quick drink than a Michelin recommended meal. Enjoy your camping

Bloody disaster. Porsche developed a fault on the way down. Sounded like flywheel / clutch at the Worksop junction. Nursed it to my parents and took my mums car. Not quite the same but just made it to Portsmouth

Re: DDK CLM 2022 diary thread
Weds… crossing the Chanel was a real pain. As we were running well behind schedule we took the direct route to Honfleur. Weather was ok but near the end it threw it down. We’re hoping that’s the only rain of the trip.
Most cars haven’t done proper long journeys for a while so it’s good to see everyone settling back into them.

Re: DDK CLM 2022 diary thread
Having queued to get off from the ferry (multiple cars with flat batteries), passport clearance is soooo slooow that I’m considering getting the tent up & having another nap

As we sit here, strangely there are quite a few 30’s & 40´S cars getting on the ferry to the UK
