Back roads are fine .. I’ve been out cycling and it’s only the main routes showing salt residue

Blimey, it's grim oop North, but I do dream about the stunning Yorkshire countryside. Here, down South, a couple of hours on the bike yesterday morning, just a touch damp in places, then sunbathed all afternoon, it was 24C. I'm racking my brains to remember what we used to blast over the aircraft to de-ice the flaps. Obviously non corrosive but I would expect just too expensive to be used in quantity. All you can do really is to hose the car down, top and bottom after each drive and get shares in WD40.

I'll probably be following one up there between the speed limits.
Coaches don't do 36 mpg do they?
Never been on hols in one, maybe some of you have?

Point of my question was if salt has been laid, poor weather is expected, and if so would go in my 4x4.
I was told snow was on the hills.

2 degrees forecast briefly up here tonight, and they are indeed planning to send out the sh!t spreaders according to this site

https://trafficscotland.org/wintertreatment/

Then its back up to warmer temperatures and it will all be pointless. Its all so predictably and horribly risk averse and moronic. I can't stand it.

Yes and this evening too, I just got back from giving the car a thorough warming through. Such a beautiful time of year.

Not seen any salt on Deeside, West of Aberdeen. We did have our first frost this morning but it was minimal. The last few days have been very good. blue skies and warm.

Have a good time in Braemar Graham. Now, it can get cold out there
