This one on the other hand was racing:

This is one of the guys running the race team fielding this 904, the Coca-Cola 935, the white RSR with an arrow on its bonnet etc.

He's an ex Porsche factory rally co-driver, whjo kept us entertained for ages with stories from back in the day. I'll look up some more details on him later.

This year marks 40 years of the Porsche transaxle cars. Rather than lots of shots of 924s, 944s, 928s, etc....

We thought this car best summed up Porsche's best effort in this category:

Of course, it wasn't all Porsche.

There were BMWs:

This one won the big 70s sports car race on Saturday evening, beating all the 935s, M1s etc:

And of course there was racing. Of all classes.

Please excuse quality of the shots... I started on the beers around the same time we started watching the track action :drunken:

What I can say though is that I was very pleasntly surprised at how good the views are here on the GP circuit for spectators. Fab place to visit.

Cars and racing is all well and good, but it is the company that makes trips like this special.

And the most special company that Peter had for the weekend? The less said about his duck friend at the campsite, the better  ... :duckie:

Great thread guys. Nice to 'see you' again Stephen. It's been a while.

You have three fabulous looking cars. I love them all but one has my heart.......... :love4:

This is a great picture as it appears to show light yellow, signal yellow and signal orange all in the same shot.

Could be even better Mike: we thought these were all yellows: speed yellow, signal yellow, light yellow!

Don't be distracted by the ducktail on the speed yellow car on the left: it was a highly modded hot rod, rolling on 18inch Fuchs
