I'm afraid Alex Neil was a total mistake. He had no track record, no success to speak of and definitely no experience (WAY out of his depth in the EPL). I think the thinking was he was an emerging genius like Jock Stein, Fergie or the great man himself, Shanks. Sadly he is a football numpty. Should have had many more years in the lower divisions of the Scottish league to hone his craft, coaching and man management. I have no idea who advised Delia to get him but it was bad advice. He only managed a team playing on a plastic pitch with not a single quality player before Norwich. What experience is that?
