I don't see any reason why they wouldn't…I decided it was between the Wipac ones which seemed like a good mid-level light or go all out for the Cibies, which were the priciest ones but very nice….you guessed it, bit the bullet and went for the Cibies.Darren C wrote:Has anyone tried Lucas 7" H4's ? Lucas part No LUB319 (RHD without Pilots)
This month in my Jaguar Magazine they have them on offer at £18 each from David Manners Group

Yes, got them in mine, good lights. Wish you could still buy Cibie Biodes, like I had in my original 914 - nothing else come close!

It was that shiny picture you posted that clinched it…now I just need to get the surrounds chromed like yours!JAS 966 wrote:Good choice Ollie

Re: UK Headlights..
Luckily my surrounds were in great nick! Just a little Autosol and you see the results.... I gave them a good wipe over with wax before reinstall, and all unseen areas got a liberal coat of Tectyl. The carriers however were gently blasted, then dipped to get all the unreachable corrosion, CAD plated (as were springs etc) and finally powder coated grey -a little lighter than I actually specified
- so with a bit of luck these will last at least another 40 years!!

Got the Cibie H4s installed today…passenger one works beautifully - low and main beam, but the driver one works perfectly on main beam but the low beam is really really dim. Brand new bulbs…
Any ideas what I should try?

Re: UK Headlights..
Earth? Nothing dislodged on the side-light front (earth cable I think runs across both if I recall correctly).
Are the lights at the back ok?
