in the top corner of P9140411 you can see the rear inner wing... this is the next stop. Torsion tube was replaced in weeks 5 and 6.

so on the passenger side there was evidence that previous work had seen a replacement of this panel, the metal was better, the welding was messy, plan here would be to cleanup the welding and re-weld. On the drivers side there was not much more than rust held together with, trim panels, paint and alot of patches welded to patches on under the wheel arch.

So the tacked welding on the outer sill from a previous 'restoration' was so poor in could literally be twisted off, good to get if off, as the bottom of the a post was in bad condition, inner sill was in ok condition, but again would need re-welding.

new lip is welded onto the top of the inner sills to give good metal to attach the outer sill, bottom of A post repair is finished
