Well it may take a little longer to rejoin the ranks of the early 911 owners, at €100K it will take even longer before I'm back in the 'Brown Brotherhood"...
How in two years has a good useable daily with mostly original paint (Charlie's paint was all original, except where it wasn't!) gone from £25K (what Mr P Stephens was asking) to Around £90K.

Oh, and just for good measure the new owner still hasn't see the mostly original paint in the flesh, let alone driven it....

All the best
Ian F (now feeling the body blows )

The US car has a totally non-lwb, swb repro shoddy dash top.

These things are just not acceptable on cars which claim to be original and are sold/advertised as such at these prices.

Here is an original car inside and out which beats those hands down, matching numbers, original paint, original interior, irreplaceable!!

I'm so glad I got my car when I did though we had to increase our budget! £100k sure is a lot of tatties though.

This is like my old 2.4T, only with rust inside the front wings, and a '2006 engine overhauled by italian Porsche spezialist'.

Hmm.

I don't wish to get in the middle of a fight but you are still long several very nice cars (according to your signature). I don't think that you are quite down and out? If we could all talk the tops and bottoms of markets we would all be heros.

I neither understand your post, the reference to 'down and out' or have a clue what you're trying to say to Mike. Can you clarify Neil?

Perhaps I must be getting the wrong idea but Mike was talking about a body blow. I guessed from that he has sold a "Mint T" and wishes he hadn't or at least waited? I'm just noting that his signature says 73 RS and 67 S so while he had lost selling the T he should be up more money on those cars? Just also noting that it's very difficult to call the turning points in any market.

Hi All
Yes I think that Mike was posting to yours truly, me Mr Alf Cat and is I belive a referance to the fact that I'm not dealing all that well with (or getting over) selling my Sepia Brown Italian T, quite some time ago truth be told...

All the best
Ian F.

Sorry Neil for being a little vague but I suppose I just assume everybody know everybody which of course is not the case for you new lads. I still feel Ian's pain after he sold his car. It comes across in all his posts that he misses it dearly. It was a very nice sepia car (Italian) 2.4T which over the last ten years has gone from a very undesirable colour to a very desireable one. The subject of this post was a car which I introduced (vaguely, I admit) similar and the one Ian sold so I was posting by way of an apology to him.

The Mint T I sold is in post 12 of this thread. I could not have sold it to a better home and whilst I would buy it back in a heartbeat it does not keep me awake at night. It is a very original example.

Hope this helps explain things better.

Regards
Mike
