I remember having a similar chat in the States about aircraft types... Over here its only ever a Boeing 7-4-7, in the U.S its only ever a 7-47... So.... I reckon it could be a U.S thing.

Which would make 9-1-2 Euro banter & 9-12 American. Maybe.... :?: Who knows! :)

I always said 3-5-6 but I think 3-56 is correct.

Normally though, its 'That car STILL sitting in my inlaws garage'

In Canada it is almost always nine-whatever except for the nine-oh-whatever and the three-fifty-six.
If someone said nine-one-two I think it would be proceeded by porch, and we would quietly castrate them. :wink:
