That's shocking. I've pasted a link to this thread on the worldwide Porsche 356 Outlaw Group on Facebook.

Bizzara to chose such a one-off well known car, unless they had no idea except it is a valuable old car.
If to order by one who knows what it is, it will never be seen again? you can hardly show it off.
Very sad, a dark view of some parts of this world.

I'm probably naive but struggle to believe that any collector would want to possess such a car knowing that it had been stolen from its rightful keeper.
Let's hope the grapevine scares off any potential purchaser and the car somehow finds its way home.
I wish Delwyn the best of luck.

Sadly, the reality of the situation is that said collector will probably never know. He'll end up buying a car at auction in a few years time, not realising that it is this car, but with the identity of a complete basket case that somebody found in a barn or old garage. Somebody - probably Eastern Bloc – will use this car to create a 'new' version of the basket case, and nobody except him and his cohorts will know any different. But let's hope when a '52 Pre-A bursts onto the scene from nowhere, Delwyn and myself are there to take a close look at the details which only we know about...
Let's face it, this scenario is not at all unknown in other Porsche circles (RSs anyone?).

Can tell you that it was taken between 9.00pm Monday and 8.00am Tuesday.
All that's relevant here is that the car has been stolen and its identity (chassis #11176) is known.

You gotta be kidding!, one of the most recognisable porsche's in the uk
who in their right mind would take this and think they would get away with it. met Delwin in the porsche garage at Goodwood revival last year,
smashing chap.
Good luck with it's recovery.
Andy.

Well I hope it gets found and in good condition, but somehow I feel that anyone taking this kind of thing must be professional and it'll not appear again.
