O.K., on the basis that you've not actually said when you posted them, just a random monday, so I think I'll be a bit more cynical:

Days: 163
Cost: £341.03p all in.
Communication: took chasing before any you heard anything.
Result: Gauges look like new orginals and work fine.

1 day (they received 11am Tuesday, processed and sent them out late afternoon, arrived with you the next morning). Cost £55 including the cost of sending them back.

Ian.

Thanks for the guesses. I'll let a few more responders have a stab at the answer and I'll reveal the refurbishment timescale this evening.

One more snippet of info to help guide your answer....

Speedy Cables took delivery of my shipment the morning after I sent it to them. I made careful efforts to log all their actions on my iPhone calendar. I wanted to be sure of their performance with an auditable trail.

24 hours passed.

And then I got a call. They quoted me a price and I confirmed approval to proceed. Having sanctioned the work promptly I waited.....

I reckon the clue's in your signature:

-----------------
Paul

'72 Porsche 911 Fabrik Sonder Wunsch (ST replica/Hot Rod)
'74 Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera (dormant for six years, awaiting instruments)
'95 Porsche 911 Carrera RS (993)

5 instruments at 5 hours each at £20 hour = £500 + 20% = £600
66 days

go on tell us they came back in a week and cost just a couple of quid!

Did they arrive back before you sent them? A bit like Back to Future, problem was they both existed in the same time dimension so the refurbed ones cancelled the crummy ones out and from them on neither existed as they slowly disappeared from your Iphone photo that you took with the Polaroid style app? So you or Speedy Cables upset the time continuum.

Did you see any Libyan Terrorists in a camper van?

I'll PM you my address again.
