Well, let's hope this one inspires somebody, somewhere, too! But I won't be personally held responsible for other people's projects which lead to a divorce, OK?

PS – it's Beaulieu :)

The ETA at Chatham is December 18th but with Christmas and al that, (not that docks shut for such nonsense!), I don't expect to see it for another 10 days or so after that. Can't wait!

Have been tracking the ship's progress on-line – seeing it head past Puerto Rico and now out into the Atlantic proper is quite scary, especially when people send me photos or film of container ships in high seas!

Relax, I'm assured it's the blue container top right of this picture.

Nice thought but realistically not as I doubt it will have cleared customs until the end of the week at best, and I'm pretty tied up until then. Then the warehouse is closed for Christmas...

The annoying/frustrating thing is that I'll be going 'up country' (Cornish-speak for going to Surrey) to see family on 27th December, but will probably have to come all the way back down, and then go back up with trailer later. Christmas is getting in the way of having fun!

Just need to be patient, though. Grrrr!

Mine was on the Cap too.

Done the Customs forms and paid duty today.

The warehouse is open 28th - 30th, by appointment, and I will be picking mine up then...

You paid the duty already? Sure that wasn't just the shipping costs? The containers were only unloaded from the ship yesterday – I got the customs forms and the bill for shipping from Kingstown, but won't expect a customs bill until the container is transferred to Chatham, unloaded and customs cleared in a few days...

It's coming in on a '9705' so the customs costs are already known.

It has been processed into their electronic system and I pay the money to the agent who then passes it on. HMRC will then do a quick check / xray that it is what we have said it is and it should be good to go.

I use Schumacher cargo every time, they seem to have the process down very well (quick), and are good people to deal with.
