Probably a bit too far for me to meet the timescales I'm afraid. Won't be able to leave the office until late as well.

This office of yours... does it not have a fire alarm ?
Mike.

unfortunately 'this office' has been offline since a powercut/surge on Monday screwed up the network. Managed to get it functioning yesterday and I now have a shed load of messages and requests to get through, plus I dropped the boy off at school this morning so I arrived later than usual.

Won't be the same without you Nige, you've never been to a Northern meet when you're not there... We just sit around looking glum.. Then some remembers that funny story you told us last time you came up and we break into wry Northern smiles but that doesn't last long. Then someone says perhaps you'll drive up next time and we all nod. Then we go home.
Perhaps we could have our next Northern meet round your house.
Mike.

make it a bit less North and I can make it more often, its currently about a 200mile round trip, whilst not that far it all depends what time I can get away from work to make it worth while. You see I don't want to turn up late and only spend a few minutes with you when you really deserve more quality time from me.

bit less north ? .... for some of us it's a bit too far south

Looks like we'll now have to put up with Mike's glum face and quiet mutterings to himself about Nige not being around
We won't be leaving Wetherby services until James gets there, hopefully @ 7pm

Mike's the one making a song and dance about it James!

All depends on when I can leave work, can usually jump ship early for these kind of gigs, but today isn't one of those days. Maybe next time, I'm a bit short on stories at the moment anyway.
You'll have do some mobile Facebook check-ins and I can pass comment then.

good turn out of cars last night, with only 2 of us not in pre73

At least we had full 100% Porsche

Stuart brought along his stunning 912

& Carl came along with his fantastic 356C.
Weather could have been better, but at least we missed most of the down pours.
Short drive through the lanes taking in the local historic toll bridge followed by some nice Fish & Chips eaten in a north yorkshire market place. Shame it wasn't warmer to we could sit outside at the pub.
We'll have a proper get together on a weekend in Aug

Must be the first time I've been over that toll bridge in ~45 years! Seem to recall that last time I paid 1d (one old penny) to ride over it on my push bike
Fish & chips were great.... and as James says Stuart's 912 is stunning.
Good company, great craic
