Oh, very cool and intresting part! Thanks for the link Sam.

(However I can't realy figur out how it works, I meen the standard coupler (with new bushings) is perfectly tight (is it not?). So what differens do this part make? Can it be the elemination of the free play that might be created when the bushings get "squeezt" in the normal coupler while shifting? That is the only "soft" part in the chain I can think of ... ). I'm curious, can some one explaind this (for a person witt very limited mecanical experiens).

A new Porsache coupler allows about of 1mm for and aft movement at the shaft which probably equates to about 15mm at the knob.

well... if I told you I understood why it works so well I would be lying, a buddy of mine showed up at an event and he was just raving about how great his 67S was shifting since he put one of these in, and he had one with him, well it went home with me and I had it installed and even Dieter at Andial was impressed after driving my 67 with this shift coupler, he asked me where I bought it and said he would like to install one on an early race car they were building so it's not just me that likes it.

when you shift up from first unlike with the factory coupler there is no fear of nicking reverse, as my buddy said "I could throw a speed shift now and not worry"
