Did anyone manage to get any shots of the spectacular light show ?
I've never seen Lightning or St Elmos Fire like that !!

Yeah I couldn't believe it either!! Even my amateur welding efforts on my first beetle 20 years ago look like a work of art compared to this mess

Yes, Gary and I (well Gary, with me interfering: all familar stuff), whiled away a pleasant 1/2h or so trying to get the lighning. Amazingly tricky, and at the time it looked as though one hopeful shot didn't really pick up the lightning anyway.
Trouble is, there's no way the camera or the lens can be blamed (as they are both wonderful)
