The hammerite had dried overnight and the CV joints cleaned up nicely - in fact I would hazard that they are pretty new by their condition.

Pack them with CV Joint grease and stick on the gasket.
I threaded them up from the rear of the car through between the shock and handrake cable and in to the aluminium arm. Mine have two pins and two sets of bolts on each CV, so remember to set the driveshart and hub orientation for the pins and holes to align - who didn't remember first time
Support the other end on an axle stand while you get the first set of bolts in.

Then go to the transmission end and locate the pins and they are in.
Just needs all the bolts tightening, which isn't easy withthe car in the air with no handbrake as yet, so that goes on my list of 'things to tighten'.
