If it sells at that price of course. My wife prefers the look of the 'S' too. You know what, so do I actually, but it's a very close call. At today's prices I think the 'S' is the better choice really. RS prices are frankly ridiculous, especially when many of them are bitzas. But if I had the cash I'd buy one regardlessSpydermon wrote:
Not bad growth for a year! I've been told that it is very nice but not perfect. The T+S prefers the 'S' to any of the RS's.......
BTW. I'm digging a lot of your pics, really good.
What did you think of the 2 RS's for sale @ CLM?

I think Brendan's thinking in starting this thread was commentry on the workmanship/restoration quality of the two cars. What are the issues with this dealers version of a top quality restoration in comparison to other workshops? What are the little things you notice about them which make them stand out from the rest (good or bad)?
I do not think another thread on the relative values of each model and how much they have gone up or down was behind the original question.
911smonsters beautiful original S had all the hallmarks of being close to a reference car (although I did not see it in the flesh) so maybe you could compare the details of that car with the ones in question. I think you will see quite a lot of difference if you look closely.
Let's not get into what's worth what again
Just my penny's worth

Mike

Exactly my point.911Smonster wrote:All I would say is if I was looking at an RS, for the money they're asking, it would have to be faultless in every way. There's absolutely no excuse for things being "wrong" on a £150K+ car.
I'm Peter BTW!
Congrats on your sale (Peter!). Anyone will have to go a long way to get an RS in the same original condition as your S looked in the photos. Glad it has gone to a good home.
Now.............who looked closely at the window frames on these two RS's?

Mike

Well I did not get to see these cars and I do know very little about them but they didnt even manage to get the wiper arms on the correct way, on one of them.
They appear to be on the opposite way round.

I did see these cars they looked all shiney and polished so I walked out after a quick photo, just in case I walked into one of them.. But they looked nice.. just the sort of thing for your spare cash in that off shore account...I guessed they were fishing for a buyer in the CLM mood CURCHING!!!!!!££$$€€

But the wiper arm with a bend at the end should be on the inner wiper not the outer.
Should they be more like this?
Rather than this

Mea culpa on mentioning the 's' and the prices. As I was typing the 's' came across my radar, and I was amazed, especially knowing what it was originally for sale at.210bhp wrote: I do not think another thread on the relative values of each model and how much they have gone up or down was behind the original question.

I do not have your knowledge and experience Mike, nor yet the ability to immediately spot details, only a general type of knowledge. I won't mention prices again on this thread, but, and I find this worrying, if not here then where? Surely DDK is THE place to discuss what's worth what?
Best,
Steve.
