The list of RS Chassis Numbers that I have doesn't show any sliver cars.
There are about 35/40 cars on the list that are defined as either 'special colour' or a code number that I can't decipher so unless one of these is silver it looks unlikley.
In the 1970's the primer technology for fibreglass wouldn't (aparently) support the then celly mica metalics - so the RS with fibreglass tail came without metallics as an option.
The famous Piech (sp?) with the jazzy orange interior, was painted metalic (from memory) but did not have a ducktail fitted

that's odd. When I saw the car at BS Motorsports it didn't have a duck, just a plain lid. I think it was on colour coded green 6 and 7 inch wheels too.
It did have tomestone seats, black anodised window trim, colour coded headlamp trims and overriders and earlier 'thin' rocker trims just as your picture depicts.
Mike - the ex-Ferry Porsche RS originally came sans ducktail & was equipped with cookie Cutters.
When Brian Burrows bought the car from Russell Edmonds, it had been repainted (still in its original colour) & the original hand-painted dark green Carrera sidescripts/engine lid scripts had been replaced with black decals. The car also had colour-coded 6" & 7" Fuchs.
I can't remember the name of the guy that bought it from BB but he replaced the decals with some hand-painted graphics & added the ducktail/7"&8" Fuchs.
