Darren,

Your new Irish looks really sweet. Well done.

I'm looking forward to seeing it in the metal.

Very, Very nice Darren. When you say 'other treats' you mean (dare I utter it) a full impact-bumper swap with 930 flatnose front ?

Nice car - excellent Cali pictures :)

I got back two days ago and they really make me miss the place - I looked at two 912's and two 911T's when I was out there, both T's had sold but the 12's were available but I bottled it - they are still there though, one better than the other, OG paint, Cali car with 3 dial, 5 spd, fuchs, disc brakes etc... a little faded Aga Blue paint at $8500 + shipping and import etc.. seemed a good deal.

I also learnt that the local california market like shiny paint restored cars so original vehicles were very undervalued compared to what they seem to make in the UK - bonus!

I should probably post this in another thread but what do I need to do to MOT one, new headlamps, turnsignals? any rewire needed or are they OK? rust I can deal with (not a prob on the cars I saw) and also waht about the availability of dashboards (or just dash tops) - as is the norm with hot climtae cars these areas needed attention as did the trim but I presume this is readily available etc...
