Paul, either way it'll be a great project but it imho it has to be a hot rod!

The blue TR is Crystal. Fabulous car and I've got several other pics and history of it if you want them. No doubt half the fun will be deciding what to do and then the project itself... a five min job for Moss the Magician!

I also love this Light Ivory and Blood Orange combo.

Also found a contact in germany who machines up 16" fuchs to make 17" split rims with TUV approval so wheels are not an issue!!

Paul I do think this is your chance to build a one off. You have the mint green beast so build something different.. It will take longer I recon to source the bits esp the wheels but worth it in the long run..and alot of fun in the process..

Andy's lightweight is a stunner and it's one I would look to replicate but there is so much out there to look at and take idea's from.

Good luck sounds like you have a nice project on the go... just don't tell the wife how much you spent..

If anyone's got any detail shots of elements they think will look good, post them here.

Here's my wish list. I'm thinking of an amalgam of T/R rep, S/T rep, Hot Rod, R-Gruppe, part time circuit racer stylie. This is the sort of specification forming in my head:

Standard front bumper in GRP (non 'S'), RS rear bumper in GRP, Steel bonnet (centre fill cut out), standard steel front wings (no flare), welded shut filler flap, rear quarters with steel ST arches, 7" Fuchs front & 8" Fuchs rear, steel engine lid (no badges, no spoiler), non sunroof, centre fill fuel tank, oil tank behind right wheel, oil cooler in front right arch, rally style triple outlet exhaust, no battery boxes, glass rear screen, glass side windows (not acrylic), headliner, aftermarket fixed bucket seats in leather/perforated leather (rallye style), delete rear seats, lightweight carpets, lightweight door cards, ST style roll cage, 4 point harnesses, Momo Prototipo, rubber T-handle latches to bonnet and rear deck lid.

Engine? Possibly 2.7RS spec built on 7R cases.

Colour? Hmmmm.
