What a car.....many congratulations.

SWB project you say...

Non matching but correct Ali engine......needs all the usual work, sills, kidneys, floors. Not mine I hasten to add but I was tempted to have a look. Not cheap but it is RHD....

You guys are all too kind, thank you :)

Now that this 'restoration' thread is dead I will start a new thread in the members cars section once I have a few decent photos to post.......sorry to be indulgent but I enjoy looking back at the cars history/events and you know I like to post a pic or two!

For now I'd like to say a final big thank you to everyone on DDK......the support, comments, help and advice have proved invaluable and has been greatly appreciated.

DDK rocks, cheers guys :thumbleft:

Just one last thing....

.....the megaphones needed to a little adjustment since the muffler was fitted so being a nice day I took the car in to get them done......and I made a little sound clip :) ......

.....well the rolling road sounded a little tame!

One day I will grow up......in another 20 years or so! .......

That wonderful sound track is not every ones cup-of-tea let alone very wearing on a trip!
I used to run a great rally silencer, 2 in 3 out uncapped for nearly 20 years, half the noise of Darren's megaphones, but have upset tranquil people several times. You needed to pass horses and cyclists on tick-over/neutral. Even then you can spook a horse or the bloke next door...
