Well, home safe and sound despite driving like I wanted to die or at least destroy my car for hundreds of miles.
Actually covered a total of 1762 miles, used lots of petrol and used my hammer a lot. Checked the oil once and didn't put any in. Claire only swore at me 2 or 3 times despite me constantly putting her in the face of oncoming traffic to see if we could overtake.
I was halfway through telling my friend that how we'd been driving shouldn't be legal when I remembered that almost none of it was legal.
It's been my best driving experience ever.

Brendan and Mike, thank you very much.

Sorry to here about a few hiccups with the odd car. Marks write up summed his experience brilliant. Great to here everyone made it home in one piece.
Bootsy.....sorry to here about your pooch, it's a tough one as they are part of the family.
Keep the photos and write ups coming.
Wish we could have made it. Won't miss next years

Well done Dave. First return journey
They really are quite remarkable little cars (when going properly) aren't they?

Tomorrow it's back to work and it's business as usual!
But I couldn't resist ending off the great weekend with a wee dram of the perfect gift for someone who lost his heart at the Highlands
And a bit more...
Okay... Now don't take the p155 out of me (I've done that already myself)

...and for those that didn't make it to Applecross.
You didn't miss anything. Nothing to see here, not worth the drive... you would rather look round a castle

One pic from my little detour down Glen Etive which nearly caused pile up when the rapidly approaching DDK posse thought I was going for the overtake when in fact I was turning right...
Such a beautiful valley, you can see why it was used as a location for Skyfall, pity it's a dead end!
