Excellent pictures Gary, gives me something to look at while I'm waiting for the Eurotunnel....might be leaving at just after midnight so only about 8 hours late.

Just back now...tunnel delay not the best news but nothing that could be done about it...good news is that at this time of night the M25 is quiet so a 1 hour 45 min journey can be done in 30 minutes less....
Great weekend, company makes the whole event special as usual......
Until the next time
Jp

Garry
Have you a picture of winner in G1
Boy was three and a half minutes behind Largo after first lap and caught and passed the pre Vietnam war Largo due to a broken throttle cable.
Would not believe a London Talbot made in Paddington in 1931 could do that!

Hi John, Not within the ones that made the upload to FlickR, but I'll check the memory cards tonight and have a look. Talbot 105 Car No. 12 I assume?

Unfortunately I didn't meet anyone of you. On friday I wore the DDK t-shirt all day and I was trying to spot anyone wearing the same...
I had a blast of a weekend!

Fantastic! What a great trip.
The ferry crossings made for a relaxed, stress free crossing and left us with a short and easy drive to the circuit.
The accommodation in the chateau was superb as ever and the food excellent.
All the French people I encountered were friendly and helpful and loved the early 911’s.
Highlights for me were:
A great BBQ at my place before departure.
A couple of spirited ascents of the hill climb at La Foret Auvray.
Wonderful cross country driving jaunts and fantastic meals with friends.
Several unauthorised sessions in the pits with unhindered access right amongst the action.
Top class grandstand seats by the Dunlop bridge.
My freshly restored car getting me there and back safe & sound.
A good citizen balancing my throttle linkages whilst I was parked up on the Mulsanne Chicane. Thanks Chris Turner (‘Butsi’ here on DDK).
Low points:
Being reprimanded by the Gendarmarie for failing to observe a stop sign (though somewhat lessened by the fact they admonished my passenger in the left seat - Vic Cohen - believing he was the driver).
Lengthy queues for low grade & expensive food within the circuit (to be expected I guess but sad for France).
The poor racing on the Saturday evening (too much safety car, very little racing in earnest).
Lack of scoreboard/live video footage/commentary left me confused as to who was leading and who won (the only giant screen visible spent the day showing adverts).
I’ve not had chance to look through my pictures but I took a few, I’ll try and get them posted on this blog within a few days.
