Re: Pre-A Outlaw replica.
A lot of work going into this. That's the thing with these cars, a lot of hidden detail under the skin that nobody sees.
Some nice metal work skills going on there. What did you use to shape the panels, arches etc.?

Re: Pre-A Outlaw replica.
Yes. This is almost a scratchbuilt car as it started out as a stripped floorpan and an empty bodyshell. Rest is all custom made. Not exactly a bolt-on kit.
I have an English wheel and shrinker/stretcher for shaping the sheetmetal.
Basically I could build the whole body out of aluminium with the tools using the body only as a form...

Thought as much with the marks in the sheet metal. It's certainly come along way from what you started with.Hebster52 wrote:Yes. This is almost a scratchbuilt car as it started out as a stripped floorpan and an empty bodyshell. Rest is all custom made. Not exactly a bolt-on kit.

No, exact date yet. But plans would be to get it registered for next summer and hopefully go to some events during summer.

What a good fit that tank is. Looks like it was meant to be...
Nice to see it on its rubber.
This is one unique build , my hats of to ya Hebster.

Re: Pre-A Outlaw replica.
Thanks. At the moment I'm trying to figure out how to mount a fueltank gauge sender unvisible and also adding a returnline for the fuelinjection. Trying to keep the tank as clean as possible..

Really enjoying this thread and your approach! My vote is for the 54 tank, just looks right.
