Thanks for the feedback guys.........the pulley is actually the right colour/finish I'd say, flash on my camera making it bright in apperance.

I'll see how the Tectyl finish wears over time, it does appear to be lightening in colour with a few heat cycles but does become very sticky when warm......a bit like me!

Cheers,

So, time to put this thread to bed.....

Use of the car lately has been limited due to crappy weather and a niggling electrical issue that first surfaced when I was out with Jamie.

After Mick from Redtek kindly looked at the car last Sunday and traced/resolved my issue the car went to Gary for some final fettling before a planned rolling road session yesterday....

Image

....inner doors trimmed in lightweight felt to add a little more definition to the opening, rear calliper modified to gain a little more clearance, leaking screen sealed, rear oil pipes adjusted, dodgy fuse boxes replaced with new.....

....whilst I did my own bit by adding a few stickers and painting the peak of my crash helmet (well, we had the tangerine out for another project anyway!)...

Image

Image

...and then on to Redtek for the rolling road...

...at Redtek I've never seen so many engines on the go, two genuine 2.7 RS's, a 2.4E and even a stricting yellow shrouded 2.4TE as well as bunch of custom builds builds.....these guys produce some amazing work....

Image

....before heading up to the rolling road Nick had to try something on a 904 and asked if I'd like to come for the drive! :P ....

....getting in and out is a challenge but 207HP and 700KG surrounded nothing more than glassfibre is an incredible experience and an absolute blast.....

Image

....and to the rolling road...

Image

...where everything was exactly as I'd already been told by Nick.....

Nick had quoted 250HP on megaphones with a reduction of around 10HP, with an increase in torque, with the exhaust and so proved to be the case.....

....238HP with 185 ft lbs of torque :) .....

Image

.....a few adjustments were made which were very noticable during a good drive after the session and the car goes, screams and handles as well as I could have wished.

Let's hope for a long dry summer! :bounce:

Cheers,

Car looks wonderful Darren - must be a bit of an anti-climax now that it's 'finished' though ?

- hence your (repeated) mention of a hankering for a swb (911T/R) project ...

Great news and power seems on the money. Didn't realise Redtek had a rolling road - that is good news as I would quite like to get my cars on there to check output etc.

It will never be finished!

Darren,

Great figures, you must be pleased

A quick question.

What did you use to fix the rubber seal to the top of the bumper centre panel? On the metal panel there is a channel that it fits into but not on the fibreglass ones, is this channel available to buy on its own?

Cheers
Jon
