Deltawing. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha... or am I just not getting it? :?

A mini Thrust 2 with stabilizers. Roundy-round always leaves me a bit mystified anyway...

Finally, there is the Deltawing, the doyen of the special 56th garage. Not only did it run at the Test Day, but it ran quickly. Its fastest lap of 3m47.980s
was enough to put it 32nd overall and at LMP2 pace. The car suffered no problems and the drivers reported it as very easy to drive, so with a clear set-up path ahead
of them it will be interesting to see how the Deltawing performs in the 24 Hours. It certainly doesn’t look like being the white elephant (black sheep?) some were expecting…

I'm guessing at a Speedster Kit with a VW Type 4 Engine with a horizontal fan shroud arrangement

I used to run a similar set up on my 2 litre Type 4 engine in my Speedster (all be it not as tidy as that one!)

A few Registry members, disillusioned with recent policy changes (understandably), have decamped and found a new home on the Samba.

The photo of the type 4 engine is lifted from this thread, a discussion about real versus replica... the post is half way down this page and there`s some great photos on page 4.
