I would like to add my thanks to Mike and Brendan for allowing me (and Dan) to just drop in for the Saturday evening and Sunday run. This is my first encounter with DDKers and what a super bunch. Great watching all those cars storming along those superb roads. Bit hair-raising at times!!!
Sorry Mark (Sladey) and Suzanne to hear it took so long to return to base. I wasn't able to contact Mike until much later as my phone had actually gone dead (remember it would not work at the top of the Pass) and then when I got to a phone -the mobile number I had for Mike was out of date! I didn't know anyone else!!
Thank for the company Gavin (all the best to Emily) and I love that 904 Andy.

Back to the rebuild.

Ian

Many, many thanks to Brendan & Mike for all your hard work making this possible. Both Sandie and myself thoroughly enjoyed every minute, unfortunately we didn't get to speak to everyone but that means we need to do it again.

When unpacking this made me smile,

There's been a lot of this car so far but one more won't hurt, It's fabulous. I suspect it may only have been built so he has an excuse to wear that wardrobe in public.

I've started the investigations this afternoon. I have to prove to Mike it's not a bent rod, split crank, dropped valve or any of the other nightmare scenarios he was suggesting. Good luck to those of us having a "mending session"

It belongs to Dug McKenzie... Don't know his forumname...

It's indeed a very nice car! Would like to have/own it, but unfortunately the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car (as are the pedals)

It looks amazing!

What a great trip that must have been, with great stories and superb photos. Thanks to all for sharing them and I hope the various breakdowns prove to be easily resolved

Once again, massive thanks to Mike and Brendan for organising the tour and arranging the weather!

Marlies and I had a superb time and really enjoyed meeting new faces and familiar ones from previous trips. Wonderful driving roads and stunning scenery....shame about the high rate of attrition this time though :(

Can't wait until the next tour

Where can I find that Flickr page?

My tourbook has rained completely wet and I can't read it anymore. :(

And you know what: it didn't get wet in Scotland but on my way home in the Netherlands...
