Re: The DDK Scottish Highland Tour Live Blog
I would like to add my thanks to Mike and Brendan for allowing me (and Dan) to just drop in for the Saturday evening and Sunday run. This is my first encounter with DDKers and what a super bunch. Great watching all those cars storming along those superb roads. Bit hair-raising at times!!!
Sorry Mark (Sladey) and Suzanne to hear it took so long to return to base. I wasn't able to contact Mike until much later as my phone had actually gone dead (remember it would not work at the top of the Pass) and then when I got to a phone -the mobile number I had for Mike was out of date! I didn't know anyone else!!
Thank for the company Gavin (all the best to Emily) and I love that 904 Andy.
Back to the rebuild.
Ian

Many, many thanks to Brendan & Mike for all your hard work making this possible. Both Sandie and myself thoroughly enjoyed every minute, unfortunately we didn't get to speak to everyone but that means we need to do it again.
When unpacking this made me smile,
Perfection,
Good times, cheers to all and hope to see our DDK family again very soon,
Hugs n Kisses

Had a really good time there fellas it was great to see you all again, hope to do it again soon.
Thank you to Brendan and Mike for all there effort in organising and Jason, Richard and Tim who got me there, drove me around and got me home (to the door) top blokes.
My pilot concentrating and missing the scenery
Signature pose
There's been a lot of this car so far but one more won't hurt, It's fabulous. I suspect it may only have been built so he has an excuse to wear that wardrobe in public.
I've started the investigations this afternoon. I have to prove to Mike it's not a bent rod, split crank, dropped valve or any of the other nightmare scenarios he was suggesting. Good luck to those of us having a "mending session"

It belongs to Dug McKenzie... Don't know his forumname...
It's indeed a very nice car! Would like to have/own it, but unfortunately the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car (as are the pedals)

It looks amazing!Gary71 wrote:160 odd pictures layered together, just a small version at the moment to see what it looked like...
What a great trip that must have been, with great stories and superb photos. Thanks to all for sharing them and I hope the various breakdowns prove to be easily resolved
Re: The DDK Scottish Highland Tour Live Blog
Once again, massive thanks to Mike and Brendan for organising the tour and arranging the weather!
Marlies and I had a superb time and really enjoyed meeting new faces and familiar ones from previous trips. Wonderful driving roads and stunning scenery....shame about the high rate of attrition this time though
Can't wait until the next tour
One or two of our pics......
Doug.
Meeting at Gretna
Heading for the A1
Could this have been an omen?
Arriving at Falkirk (to the wrong carpark!)
Only downpour of the weekend!
Great company and a few beers....
Aww...bless!

Where can I find that Flickr page?
My tourbook has rained completely wet and I can't read it anymore.
And you know what: it didn't get wet in Scotland but on my way home in the Netherlands...
