What are your wheel sizes Paul, and have you checked the dates on them?

How peculiar is that, I had never checked these dates out before, so popped out t'garage and my pump has all the same numbers including the same date, 9/73...I guess they must have made a large batch and needed over a year to use them all up..?

Mike, they are Azev C wheels.
10" x 17" rears & 8.5" x 17" fronts. I have the centre caps too.
If you're interested I'd be prepared to sell them.

If you half close your eyes and squint a bit they look just like RUF wheels.
You can get a little circular RUF sticker for the centre caps too. :)

I would be interested in those Azevs, are they matching date codes?

Well, they were all purchased at the same time.
I don’t reckon they’ve seen many road miles at all. They cost over £700 back in 1995! (I have the receipt in my file of papers).

I know your teasing Nick, I realise they are worth very little.
Still, eBay will likely turn up someone who wants them.
I'm just not planning my retirement on the funds achieved.... :)

I wonder now, if Mike meant the Fuchs wheels I have with the car?..... :?:

2 x 6 x 15, dated 11/72 and 12/72, 2 x 7 x15 both dated 8/73, 2 x 8 x 15

Ah, well, there's a story there....
Nick will understand as I've been mucking him about. :(
Or rather the client changed his mind and whatever the client wants....

No, I think he's interested in those Azevs... they're quite like the Ferrari 5 spoke, if you squint a bit more.

Although the car was discovered running on those Azevs, incredibly, it did come complete with the original Fuchs.

As delivered from the factory my car would have been fitted with Fuchs wheels, painted with detailed petals (i.e. silver rims, black background, silver petals, silver centre caps).
The fronts would have been 6" wide, the rears 7".

And that's what I found (although they have long since been crudely refinished and the centres painted all black):

They'd been crudely refinished and Nick Moss was not too complimentary.
I subsequently found a receipt for 'grit blasting' the wheels.
Not the right way to refinish Fuchs but then the work was cheap.

Reason for my question was due to my limited 74 2.7 Carrera knowledge. For instance did production run into 1975
for the 2.7 and was it always on 15 inch wheels, or did it ever go onto 16's?
