Andy,
It would be nice if you could share this project at the CGTS club website.
Many of the members dont know about DDK.
I'm sure it would really be apreciated there as well.
Cheers.

Wow x 1,000,000 -- Andy, this project is over the top amazing.
I personally think the 904 is one of, if not the most beautifully designed Porsches ever made. Unbelievable job!

Hi Andy,
Just picked upon this, love it.
The reflector issue looks interesting, I think they were used on the rear of Hanomag trucks way back when, they look familiar.
May be worth looking around the classic truck scene for them?
Cheers

Simon - the NOS reflector I managed to find was rumoured to be from a Hanomag &/or a tractor ...
Anyone know of any Hanomag forums or websites ?

Hi Andy,
I am sad anorak it appears.....
Was thinking more on this today, I have a friend in Luxemburg who may be able to assist. I will have a chat with her to see what we can turn up over there.
Can you give me any more detail from it, any manufacturer name or markings, along with sizes etc
Cheers

Andy,
You reflector question interested me. I looked on the current
www.ulo.de web site who are part of the odelo group. Their references only go back as far I can see to the early 70's Porsche cars. I have ULO reflectors on my 'A' but believe they should be glass and not plastic. One of the few things not original.
With the numbers you gave, I tried other sites and although not actually locating either ULO5132 or K11209 items came quite close with 1950's VW buses. You don't give the diameter of the lens is it 54mm or 56mm?
Porsche also used of course Hella as well as ULO and I did find a 4 page discussion on Samba concerning 56-57 reflectors. ( I realise this is too early for your car but its an interesting thread and the reflectors ( Hella ) look so much like yours. One guy entered info on a K11300 item so maybe its worth a look.
I just put: USA 50-57 reflector into google. When it opens the pages click on: USA 50-57 reflector discussion thread.
You might wonder if ULO in Germany just by chance kept a few items back of all their early products?? Might be worth an e-mail to them? You never know they might offer a lead.
Roy

Thanks for your efforts Roy - I had already investigated the early VW bus possibility & concluded that, although similar, the ones I'm looking for weren't fitted to any std VW buses. I've bought lots of (incorrect) reflectors - including Hella - based on small/poor quality photos & regularly scan half a dozen different ebay sites using all the relevant words (in German, Dutch, French, Italian, English, etc) , alas without success to-date.
I was in touch with ULO before Christmas but they couldn't help either.
Still, with all this effort, it'll be all the more rewarding when I finally find my second one !

Got to start a new thread now Andy.
The hunt for the red reflector!
Is there a prize for the winner
