Here is an idea / preview of the plans for the weekend :)

Please note, the idea behind this weekend is for it to be relaxed & fun :) If you want to do your own thing or go your own routes please do :) Eg, if on Friday you want to blast straight to Nurburg on the motorways you free to do so :)

Friday

We will provide a suggested route from the ferry / tunnel via our recommended lunch stop & then on to Nurburg :)

This route will be a mix of motorways to start with & then heading into the countryside on a more scenic route.

Aim to arrive in Nurburg 5 - 6pm giving time to check in, freshen up etc

8pm ish, we are all booked into the PistenKlaus for an evening on food 7 drink

:drunken:

Saturday

You are free in the morning to sleep-in, explore the area , head around the track etc :)

For those of you who want to see some race action, on the Nurburgring on Saturday is the VLN race meet. From what I can gather, Qualifying is 8.30 - 10am.

http://www.vln.de/newsausgabe.gb.php?id=2735

The main VLN race starts at noon though.

Around noon, the plan is to leave Nurburg & head to Spa for the 6hours race meet. We will again provide a suggested route that takes in some of the fine driving roads in the area. This route should take approx 2 hrs or so. The Spa race meet has plenty of support races, but the 6 hours endurance starts @ 4pm & finishes @ 10pm. You can stay @ Spa for as long as you want, before heading back to Nurburg.

Sunday

Like Saturday, nothing is planned for Sun morning. The Nurburgring is open to the public on Sunday, so there is an oppportunity for some spectating at various places around the circuit ( or to actually drive the circuit ).

Around lunch time, we will be heading to a local vinyead ( TBC) for a tour & tasting. Plan is to stop for lunch 1st, then head to the vineyard.

Evening back at the hotels for the DDK Barb-q :)

Soon Brian will be emailing out details of the routes etc

You ferry booking references were included in your final booking confirmations .

Absolutely - most excellent organisation James :salute:

I wondered why I hadn't received anything and then noticed it does state in the final booking confirmation "At the beginning of September, we will send out your crossing information, hotel details and itinerary by recorded delivery"
Cheers,
Vicki.

wow, it's been touch and go! I'm having a big re-hash of my cars!

I nearly had to come down in the fraud galaxy. Fortunately, I bought a 993 from Sam earlier today. So maybe not a proper 911, but at least it's a porsche!

Oh yes...looking at that itinerary, how a driving trip can get any better than this?

Who's attending the Euro Tour who fancies themselves as a bit of a snapper?

Don't worry, I'm not looking for somebody to take some 'arty' shots of me in my room but if you can take a decent shot or too drop me a PM

Cheers

over the next 24hrs you should all be receiving am email containing a document that details the Itinerary and other Useful Information :)

Within this there are links to suggested routes .... both on Via Michelin & google maps

You should also be getting an email requesting payment for the vineyard trip too :)

Spa is pay on the gate.

Really looking forward to this now. Hopefully will be in the 2.4 :)

Be good to have a long run the S for once, haven't really used it in earnest so far this year.

Unfortunately it looks as though I will be in my 'daily' (Passat Estate) - sold my 911, taken a deposit on my Caterham, new 'longer term' project still a few months from completion & my Giulietta Sprint has an elusive rear brake problem ... :(

You'll be welcome to join me on some of the trips out in the passenger seat Andy if you want to. We are sharing a cabin and a room after all!
