I’ve heard people claim their Porsche is ‘chipped’ and I now know what they mean.
My fog lights were badly marked by flying stones.

I didn’t want my Porsche with any chips so I tracked down some genuine new Bosch glass (purchased from eBay Germany) and was then able to replace the original lenses.

Which means my completely original 1974 fog lamps now have brand new reflectors, brand new chrome trim rings and brand new glass.
But they do look superb.

The only time an old Porsche has let me down was due to a sheared cotter pin on my clutch pedal. On that occasion depressing the pedal was met with an unusually light resistance and a sinking sensation followed by a sinking feeling.

So I like to know my pedal cluster has been properly rebuilt.
It seems like a small part of the restoration but there's a multitude of components involved and all of them are vital for the driving experience.

A well adjusted pedal box, rebuilt with all new bushes, makes a fitting stage for the fiddleback-waisted, closed-channel soles of your hand stitched English brogues to dance upon.

Nick set out disassembling the pedals:

Then the component parts were blasted, stripped and re-plated.

And finally rebuilt with new bushes and rubbers.
