Love it. Keep the updates coming! Sound and video next - top of third gear, changing into fourth would be perfect :-)

Gentlemen, thank you all for your kind words, as ever very much appreciated :)

Plan is to get a few final jobs sorted, adjust ride height and basic tracking etc followed by an MOT and then whack as many miles on the car as I can so that I can enjoy a planned 'proper' run towards the end of the month.

I'll share the noise then!

Cheers,

hi Darren

I am currently trying to look at options for seat belt / harnesses. I posted a thread on the forum around mounting points a while back without much feedback, in the above picture would I be correct in assuming that the area on the inner sill and the transmission tunnel will be where you will be mounting eye bolts for your repa harnesses?

Thanks
mark

That's correct Mark.

This car is RHD Oct 71 built, 72MY and the fixing points were factory original, we added the additional strengthening plates.

Incidentally my LHD Dec 72 built, 73MY E doesn't have the sill/tunnel fixing points with the seat belts being attached to the seat.

Not sure if this is a model year difference or perhaps something to do with LHD/RHD models?

Hopefully others could confirm?

HTH

Thanks Darren

Apologies Darren for hijacking your thread

Another question I have which hopefully someone can answer is, would there be sufficient room to install eye bolts in these locations on a SWB 911 without impacting the installation of your seats?

Thanks Mark

I think you'd find this tight Mark depending on the seat base used.

I have a small bracket that's bolted on and Gary actually fabricated a different bracket for the centre tunnel so the harness would sit better. I don't have any photos to hand but will post a couple later in the week when I pick the car up.

Cheers,
