Two more stabs:

1
The TB's cross shaft has a 'spare' ball joint end on the left side?
2
There are two M6 bolts where the engine cover latch would be on mere mortal 911's.

Am I remotely close??

Yep a starter button Mike, but again well done to James for spotting it!

Starting an RSR is usually a two man job, but here with a starter button in the engine bay you can do it all yourself. Spray a little
Easy Start down the trumpets, hold down the cold start, spin the engine and work the cross shaft for the throttle, simples!

If you look to the 1 o'clock position from the red button, you can just see the remote oil pressure warning light as well.... 8)
cheers, Mike.

Nice article in this months Motorsport on 'The Last True Targa', very timely with the upcoming launch 8)

Their photo of the Pucci/Steckkönig RSR doesn't look quite as straight as yours Mike - hope you're not replicating that!

Next Weekend! it's getting closer......

We're working flat out now to complete the car and make everything ready for next Saturday. Judging from a little fun with had with a
certain Classic Porsche magazine last Wednesday, it should be a great day, might have to invest in ear defenders for everyone though!
cheers, Mike.

Looks like there will be a fantastic turn out for this event and even the sun is due to make an appearance!

I was thinking earlier it will be nice to meet many of the ddk folk but I won't know who some of them are as I will only recognise their car or forum user name. We need a pen and some labels so we can identify ourselves! :)

Looking forward to it.
