....is the number I photographed correct?......it'll mean I only have to switch the rear wheels from left to right and switch one tyre on the front rims.

The number you have photographed is the date of manufacture XX/YY being week and year of production - 16th week, 2014.

PS - Who refurbed your wheels, they look very good? I need a set doing.

The wheels were refurbished to a racing finish by Harvey Weidman in California who also supplied the wheels and widened the rears to 7R's......quite a waiting list of about 18 months!

If just looking for a standard refurb I'd suggest Nick Moss or the other recognised chap in the UK(?).

The car looks stunning Darren, well done you must feel a bit relieved that it's completed (I also had my wheels done by Harvey and his work is worth the wait). Really hope to see you car at sometime.

Darren - the tyres should be fitted to the wheels so that the 4/5 digit code on the side wall faces to the left on the front wheels & to the right on the rear wheels (when viewed from the rear).

So, when fitted correctly, the codes will be on the outside (LF), inside (RF), inside (LR) & outside (RR). I use a yellow tyre pen to write the location on the inside of each tyre.

Like this:



The 4-digit code you show in your photo is the date - the tyre spec no should be something like 6751 for the 185/70 & 11466 for the 215/60 tyres.

Front 185/70R15 (with new tread pattern) code 14836...



...and rear 215/60R15 code 11466...

I purchased Werkcrew script for this car a bit over two years ago.......at the time I asked for a '911DT' badge....Bob had to kindly create a special Porsche font 'D' as he'd never been asked for one before....



......not only is DT my initials but the thinking was I'd have a tongue-in-cheek response for those who asked 'what is it' by telling them it was a special development 'Deutsch-Technik' model!

Daft idea really and I couldn't bring myself to fit it.....now if people ask I'll just tell them exactly what it is, a 911T....
