I can't believe this - I have to go to be at a wedding (in France, one of my best friends) on April 6th.

AAAAAARRRRRSSSSSSSSSE :(

I suggest Motorhead / Ace of Spades and a shite-tonne of strobe / scanner lighting for the grand unveil. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iwC2QljLn4

I chose it because it's mental, like Mike.

Some great suggestions on the music there, thanks for those but more welcome!

Forgotten about Hawkwind, saw them play Mullacott Cross near Illfracombe in 70/71, Free were headlining
Things shaping up well for the 6th April, got some nice cars coming so they'll be plenty to see, could be a bit of an RSR day...

fat bottomed girls, for obvious reasons

Bicycle race, as I'm convinced Mike would now rather cycle than drive the car

Not only is the song fitting, but as a bonus the haircut was actually in fashion way back when Mike started the project:

Unless a miracle happens, I won't be able to join, sadly. I should be having dinner at the Maltese embassy in Cairo that day, so I'm very sorry Mike but I'm out.

Take care- I enjoyed the thread but my my, what horrible music has been mixed in. Here is mine, with two fingers up to that rep in the Porsche museum...

The one and only- Chesney Hawkes.

Cheers,

Bert

Stop the press....
I have the unveil soundtrack...
Silver dream machine David Essex. lol

or
"Hey Porsche" Nelly. (much much worse)
expect it to ruin speakers near you soon

Also I would quite like to have a look at this labour of love in the metal even if I haven't cracked the unveil track choice

Let me know if hotels are needed, couple of great places nearby!

Thanks in advance.

For Dougie and others who have asked about hotels, I've done extensive research testing local pubs with rooms :drunken:
but sadly due to everyone in Bucks either getting married that weekend or having dirty weekends, everywhere decent
is booked for that Friday and Saturday night.

So here's the alternative, it's the Premier Inn at Bicester, but the good news is that's it's brand new, only been open
3 weeks and it's £60/70 a night! http://www.premierinn.com/en/hotel/BICOXF/bicester

If your trying to persuade your better half to come it's walking distance to Bicester Shopping Village the outlet place.
http://www.bicestervillage.com/

For those who want to eat locally there's the Mole and Chicken restaurant, not cheap but the best in the area, and they
even have a few rooms on the Friday night. http://www.themoleandchicken.co.uk/

Then a couple of great local pubs for food are the Bell at Chearsley http://www.bellchearsley.co.uk/default. ... tpage=home
and the Crown at Cuddington http://www.thecrowncuddington.co.uk/

Hope that helps.
