I quite liked the lot which was old pots of paint or similar. I wondered if I could submit a few of my own.

Depends if you pretend this is all that you own and hide/sell off the rest elsewhere......

So where is the offender now?
If in the UK, what will happen?
If in Mexico or somewhere can he come back a 'free man'?

He will get away with it too I recon.
He will not be able to find that even in his secret places at a guess, so will walk away scott-free.

Otherwise he would be locked up or has he technically done nothing criminal?

A shop lifter, caught would see a sentence no problem.

Assuming the market turned in 2016 and the amount of £8.5 million is correct , that means that Hawkins has blown, or to use a more technical expression, spunked away , over forty grand a week ( as in £8,173 a day or £1,021 per hour ) every week for the last four years with absolutely nothing to show for it ! - this does not include any legitimate business conducted through this time, if in fact there was any. It would certainly not surprise me if the scams he has perpetrated go way beyond the areas of car dealing and his restaurant, into more serious crime based areas, I wouldn't put anything past him.

I've known him for over thirty years and always felt the need to check how many fingers I had left after shaking hands with him. As I mentioned previously he called me about eighteen months ago and offered me "an amazing opportunity" to buy into a 993 C4S with him, by putting thirty grand each in and "I'll return you £37,500 within a month as I've got guaranteed buyer" - my first thought was, Why is a car dealer offering me half his profit ? secondly, he seems to give the impression of being well funded, why does he need my money ? I declined his offer and he then phoned three people I knew and offered them the same deal , I think the list of people involved in his scams is a particularly long one.

Whilst I appreciate business isn't easy and companies do go bust in difficult conditions, his situation has a completely different slant to it in that he was effectively enticing people to become involved ( some people, like myself, he'd known for many years ) and conning them. I sincerely hope he gets arrested and locked up and the authorities throw away the key. There are some horrendous stories on the 911UK forum of the situations people have been placed in by Hawkins, he deserves everything he gets !

I had lunch recently with a client of mine who is a litigation lawyer ( and non car guy ), I turned up at the restaurant in my 911 and he then proceeded to tell me that he'd been working on cases recently for two clients who "had Porsches taken by a dealer in Malton" - when I asked how the case was going, he said it was now in the hands of the police, so hopefully things are moving in the right direction.
